Cardinal Coffee opened on a quiet corner in Lyon in 2009 with one machine, a borrowed grinder and a short list of suppliers we still use today.

We roast in small batches a few mornings a week, which means the menu shifts a little with the seasons. If you ask what's good, we'll actually tell you.

It's a small room. We like it that way.
